Challenge: Wasabi Jewelry wanted a single e-commerce site, that sold both wholesale and retail. Other jewelers tackled this problem with two separate sites. We needed an integrated solution.
Solution: Using MobCommerce, a proprietary e-commerce platform, we were able to set up a switch. If a user account is flagged as, "Wholesale" they view different content and pricing.
New Wasabi Jewelry Site
Wasabi Jewelry is an e-commerce website. It sells to both wholesale and retail customers. It features a fully integrated Wordpress blog.
Wasabi Jewelry Newsletter
Long-time email marketing and photography client, Wasabi, wanted to be able to reuse their artwork on the homepage.
Old Wasabi Jewelry Website
The old Wasabi website had no e-commerce capabilities. Clients would login to view pdf's of each collection, then fax in an order.
Wholesale User
When wholesalers login, they view wholesale pricing and products. Item titles are SKUs and descriptions less flowery.
Wholesale Switch
When listing a new item you simply select, Wholesale or Retail. Use an identical switch when setting client access.
Extra Wholesale Content
We added extra pages which only wholesalers can view; allowing them to download PDF's of each collection and be alerted of trade shows.
